This presentation addresses the unique emotional and academic needs of children of single parents.  I was a single parent for several years before becoming a teacher.  Because of my experiences in, and passion for, this area, I wrote my Masters Capstone on the topic.  That became the basis for this presentation.  Children of single parents are an ever-growing percentage of our student population, and very little advocacy has been done to ensure that they are properly reached.
