Creating a culture of success & overcoming Adversity

During the last three years at Wynne High School, we have worked to develop a Culture of Success for students and teachers.  We worked to submit our SOI application in year 1 and during Year 2 we were moving in the right direction and seeing success as we moved toward designation.  Then on March 31, 2023, our entire world was rocked by an EF3 Tornado that destroyed the town and left our school in ruins.  We had to shift our focus on recovery and how not only to finish the school year but also create a plan for this year and at the same time continue to be successful.  Through the hard work and dedication of our staff, administration, students, and support staff we not only finished the 2022-23 school year but we did not miss any activities and we saw gains despite all the obstacles.  We started the 2023-24 school year on two campuses and during the week before Labor Day moved into our new Temporary campus where we continued to see a thriving culture and gains.  We can share our story as a story of hope but also how all of this would have been impossible without a strong culture, supportive parents, passionate teachers, and strong-willed students who all have pride in Wynne High School.
