Education Innovation Rally 2024

Join us as we celebrate innovation in Arkansas Schools by recognizing the work, dedication, and transformation happening in Arkansas' Schools of Innovation! Arkansas law describes a School of Innovation (SOI) as one that ‘transforms teaching and learning,’ and defines innovation as ‘a new or creative alternative to the existing instructional and administrative practices.’ Schools of Innovation work with staff, students, parents, and community through a rigorous application phase of planning and learning, to design their School of Innovation. Once their application is approved, schools begin implementation via a designation phase and later enter a renewal phase, with a commitment to continuous improvement within their communities.

Schools of Innovation in Arkansas have been celebrated for:
• Being a School that “Works for All”,
• Transforming Learning to Emphasize 21st Century Skills for the Future,
• Increasing Ownership for Students and Their Learning, and
• Intentional Relationship Building and more.


During this celebration, DESE and OIE will recognize schools along this path of transformation, and we invite you to join us in this celebration!
