Building a Culture of Belonging and a Community of Learners

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this session, you will hear from UHSMA staff as we share how we created a culture of belonging through implementing a house system adapted from The Ron Clark Academy.  You will learn our "why," our history of how we got started, and the impact the house system has on our scholars and staff.  At UHSMA, we strive to create a positive learning environment and a sense of community where scholars encourage and challenge each other.  We strive to foster an environment where respect and compassion are the norm and where learners are transformed into leaders.  You will also hear from a few of our scholars about how this family-like culture has given them the opportunity to grow their leadership skills.
