Life and work-life can feel overwhelming at times. Everyday challenges often come with little or no-advance warning. Boring commutes, long work hours, tight deadlines and constantly increasing demands cause us to have to pivot endlessly. During these nerve-wracking moments, the ability to maintain a good attitude and have some level of optimism while these stressors weigh us down, can be very hard if not seem impossible.

In his dynamic workshop, Buck Davis draws from evidence-based research on positive emotions and resiliency while sharing his own insights as to how to remain centered and retain perspective, even when anxiety, burnout, cynicism, self-doubt and exhaustion threaten to turn motivation on its ear. Through the use of interactive group activities, multi-media visuals, engaging lecture and storytelling, he delivers a practical and compelling message with insights that can be implemented immediately. Audience members will leave feeling inspired, empowered and reinvigorated — ready to manage the chaos that gets in the way of bringing their most authentic and brilliant selves to work.

You’ll laugh, you’ll think, you’ll weigh in, you’ll collaborate, and you’ll most assuredly be moved. By the end of his talk, you’ll walk away with a variety of tools and strategies that you can implement right away to become more unabashedly resilient and courageously motivated to complete each day with newfound energy and focus. They say that showing up is half the battle, but at the end of the day you’ll be spurred to do much more than just show up. You’ll have the knowledge, insight and ability be a more capable and effective leader who is up to the tasks and challenges that await you in your very important role.
